A design journey for a 3-week project to implement a challan settlement flow.
The goal
To design an end to end flow for a seamless challan settlement process which help users to not only understand the consequence of challan but a way for hassle free settlement.

Overview
My breakthrough with Challan
Our client was a leading online platform that simplifies car selling by offering instant quotes, connecting car sellers with verified buyers, and ensuring a seamless and trustworthy experience.

The issue
In 2023, Client team recognised that their users were having trouble discovering challan and this created a hindrance for the users while selling their vehicle.

We conducted our own secondary research and a competitor analysis.

To address challenges faced by clients in car sales and purchases, we engaged with user groups and gathered insights to understand the current challan scenario.
How do user know about issued challan?
These challans are mostly issued when drivers violate any traffic rules but most people are unaware of when a challan was issued or when rule did they violate.
Can users easily understand their challan ?
Challans are of different categories and offences. These maybe difficult to understand if context is not provided.
How are challans settled?
Mostly through government websites, but these websites come with a complex navigation, multiple authentication requirements and fear of scamming websites
Are users worried about the challans?
Most people either are not aware they have a challan or don’t realize the consequences of these challans
